1. The spirit of Nayvelle
Nayvelle is a place for real people, their friends and their communities. These guidelines apply everywhere on the Service — posts, stories, comments, messages, groups, events, pages, profile details and usernames. They are part of our Terms of Service and reflect rule 3(1)(b) of India’s IT Rules, 2021. Private spaces are still bound by them: an audience setting changes who sees content, not whether it is allowed.
2. Be real
- Use a name people know you by. Don’t impersonate people, brands, public officials or organisations.
- Parody and fan accounts must say so clearly in the name and bio.
- No fake accounts, bought followers or reactions, coordinated inauthentic behaviour or engagement farming.
- Label AI-generated or digitally altered media that shows real people or realistic events. Never pass off synthetic media as real to deceive.
- Don’t knowingly share false or misleading information, especially about health, elections or emergencies.
3. Be kind — no harassment or hate
- No bullying, threats, intimidation, stalking, or unwanted repeated contact.
- No hate speech: attacks on people based on religion, caste, race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or serious illness.
- No content that promotes enmity between communities or incites violence.
- Don’t share someone’s private information (phone, address, ID numbers, location) without consent — no doxxing.
- Disagree with ideas, not with people’s right to exist.
4. Keep people safe
- Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material or any sexualisation of minors. We remove it, preserve evidence and report it to law enforcement, including the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.
- No non-consensual intimate imagery — sharing, or threatening to share, intimate images of anyone without consent, including morphed or AI-generated images.
- No content promoting terrorism, violent extremism or organised crime.
- No glorifying, encouraging or instructing self-harm or suicide.
- No graphic violence or gore shared to shock; newsworthy content must be marked sensitive.
- No sale of drugs, weapons, wildlife, counterfeit goods or other regulated or illegal items.
- No scams, phishing, pyramid schemes, illegal betting or gambling, or unpermitted online money games.
5. Nudity and sexual content
Pornography and sexually explicit content are not allowed. Artistic, educational, medical and breastfeeding content is allowed when it is not sexualised, and may be placed behind a sensitive-content screen. Use the sensitive-content option when you post anything others may not want to see unexpectedly.
6. Respect creators
Only post content you created or have permission to share. Credit creators. Don’t pirate films, music, books, software or paid courses. Rights holders can send notices to the Grievance Officer.
7. Running groups, events and pages
- Owners and admins are responsible for keeping their spaces within these guidelines.
- You may set stricter rules for your space — but never rules that require members to break ours.
- Describe your space honestly. Don’t rename an established group to bait-and-switch its members.
- Respect members’ privacy: don’t export or repost content from private spaces without consent.
8. Reporting content
Use Report in the menu on any post, comment, story, message, profile, group or page. Reports are confidential — the person you report is never told who reported them. You can also block anyone; they will not be able to see your profile or contact you.
You do not need an account to report. Anyone can email safety@nayvelle.club or file a formal complaint with our Grievance Officer. Reports of non-consensual intimate imagery are acted on within 24 hours.
9. What happens when rules are broken
We consider severity, intent, context and history. Depending on the case we may:
- add a sensitive-content screen or limit a post’s audience;
- remove the content and send you a notice explaining which rule it broke;
- temporarily restrict features such as posting, messaging or creating spaces;
- suspend the account;
- permanently disable the account and preserve evidence for law enforcement.
Severe violations — child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, credible threats of violence, terrorism — lead to immediate permanent removal. You can appeal any decision through the grievance process, and further to a Grievance Appellate Committee.
